The Antelope Bar found on 76 Mitcham Road has been a mainstay of Tooting folk for many generations, believe it or not it was first opened by the Barclays who used the venue to showcase their homegrown brewed beer, before selling up, moving on and creating quite a large financial bank!
The open entrance to the The Antelope Bar is dominated but a large 8 (count them 8) pump bar which support a large variety of locally sourced ales as well thoughtful selection of fine spirits and wines. The staff are also open to mixing rough cocktails on request,
The Antelope bar has been one of the staples of Tooting Broadway’s night scene from way back and it’s still very much alive with the hustle and bustle of the routine crowd who frequent the venue during and the week and increasingly during the weekend. Live music is becoming increasingly popular here as it has been down the road at the Tram and Social, with recent DJ sets from double Mercury Music Award nominated Ghorstpoet amongst a few others.
The rest of this well thought out venue includes a variety of seating areas all around the bar, a grand dining room which is perfect for small functions and open for hire as well as a summer garden in the rear. Contact the iclublondon team for table bookings and venue hire details.
